Owen S. Arnoff is a tax and business consultant with an expertise in tax reduction strategies and asset protection structuring for small business owners, real estate investors and real estate professionals. His diverse background and experience as a comptroller of various companies and his financial knowledge makes him uniquely qualified to advise and coach the small business owner through all phases in the life of their business.
Mr. Arnoff is an Enrolled Agent and is Admitted to Practice Before the Internal Revenue Service. He has the same rights before the IRS as CPAs and tax attorneys. He is also a 2011 graduate of the National Tax Practice Institute where he was awarded the designation of NTPI Fellow. He regularly attends in excess of 50 hours per year of continuing education in the tax field, far more than that required to maintain his license to practice.
More recently, Owen was one of the co-founders of one of the largest independent tax firms in the greater Sacramento area. After more than 30 years in business handling various financial service matters including insurance, real estate, securities and taxation, Owen has limited his tax practice to serving the needs of a very limited number of individuals and micro businesses. He practices in all areas of tax planning and preparation as well as representation before all administrative functions of the Internal Revenue Service in matters of collections, audit (examination), and appeals. Although he does not handle Tax Court representation, he knows highly qualified Tax Court Practitioners. Given that more than 78% of all Tax Court cases are won by the IRS, Owen’s job is to assist in getting things right well before it ever gets to Tax Court.
Owen is also a published author on successful business planning techniques and is a speaker on various tax-related subjects. For almost two years, he was the host of a weekly radio talk show, Tax$ense:Keeping What’s Yours, on Sacramento’s KTKZ AM 1380.
